I like Roxy, she's awesome and her taste in music far exceeds yours. Roxy is in the Major League bro, and you're like a sad clown in a two bit rodeo.

Now that it's weekend and nearly Halloween, I just wanna spend this friday gobbling pizza and watching some spooky horror movie.

That's always a good thing

Roxy my home slice. Missed you around these parts. Glad to see you posting again.

I was this cool the whole time.

Hey @larsvsnapster and @doorstopper ! Welcome to SCD 😊

Who are you guys?

Happiness is a warm manatee

Oh, and @aurora too. Welcome to our site! 😊

Happiness is a warm manatee

Thanks.  Former rock star and really curmudgeonly about the music business (as you can tell by my pointed handle).  Other than that I'm a regular joe.  Into underground music of all sorts, not into mainstream.

Cool! What was your artist name or band?

Welcome to SCD! I was a big Napster user back in the day, it was one of those things that helped foster my love of music due to how accessible it was for a shut-in kid like myself.

What are some of your favorite underground artists?

"stressed" is just "desserts" spelled backwards

Oh, there's too many I'm associated with to name.  But I'm likely in your collection somewhere.

If I had to pick favourites I'd be torn between Henry Cow, Red Krayola, and Pere Ubu, but my fandom is generally to interact with them as people which I have with all three bands.  I'm really big on archive.org, freebie bandcamps (usually metal or vaporwave) and probably the most surprising thing about me, I'm also a major EDM fiend.  When the rave era hit it was like finding a new colour in the spectrum, but the artists have blurred since and I have favourite tracks as opposed to favourite artists.  Not exclusively focused on albums -- radio shows, DJ sets, live tapes, all sorts of bootleg stuff, and singles.  Like my favourite bands, I want my approach to music consumption to be mine, and I work hard to achieve that.

But thank you for having me.

Lovely! You seem like you'll fit in very well with the many music lovers here. I like a lot of rave and dance electronic stuff as well. I'm a synthesizer player and audio nerd so I can talk about that stuff for hours.

And I'm totally with you on live/bootlegged stuff, you can find so many wonderful and rare recordings even just on Youtube, both audio and video. I've barely scratched the surface of Archive dot org but I know it's a treasure trove as well.

Looking forward to chatting with you some more!

Henry Cow and Pere Ubu are among my favourite bands. Now I'm really curious who you are.
Anyway, welcome to the forum!

If I were to say I'd feel really bad and may leave out of embarrassment.  I will give you one hint though -- I spent the vast majority of the 00's as Genesis P-Orridge's PA.  His main source of income was as a landlord in Bushwick, Queens, and I acted as property manager.  One time I asked him if his fans scared him as much as mine have the potential to scare me and he said "oh god, yes!"

Not the hintiest hint but I prefer staying anonymous and certainly understand others wishing to do the same.
Looking forward to your stories and music recs!
