Ten days and counting, so I thought we might have a thread for this year's Christmas: your attitudes, your wish lists, your shopping nightmares and of course, the music.
My city always has some lights, and usually a giant cone to represent a pine tree. Also notice the giant snow flakes in a city where snow never falls:

Just popping in to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and best wishes for 2025!

Merry Christmas guys ❤️

Merry Christmas everyone!

I hope everyone enjoys their break from routine over Christmas and has a good time.

In terms of the Christian church calendar, it's supposedly the most joyous time of the year, and some church music shrugs off its stodginess in favour of chirpy carols. I don't know if this is a proper carol or something else, but here's a cheerful song from 1963's Africa, reminding us that Christmas is celebrated in plenty of places round the world, even when circumstances are grim:-

I did the dinner this year.

I am not much of a fan of turkey so me and my dad had agreed we would be having chicken instead.

Only God knows.

Those roasties look yum! Nice one, JJ. Bet ya can't move now, huh?

Haha 😄

Here we had ribs with pork cracklings. It looks something like this:

For new years today, we're just doing homemade tapas 🙂 there will be turkey, but I do agree that chicken is actually better.

Good to see that JJ and Guybrush were eating well over Christmas. Your meals look delicious !
My festive meal with my in-laws was what they've been doing for several years now: a pot-luck buffet-style event which means no-one is burdened with having to party and produce a roast dinner at the same time. We ended up eating, among other things, lasagna, chicken+potato salad, onion soup, and Beans a la Lisna.

Here the solution is we host and my sister and my mother each bring food and my younger brother brought drinks 🙂 we're pretty good at this division of labour now.
